The Young Republican Left of Catalonia (in Catalan: ''Joventuts d'Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya'', JERC) is the youth wing of the Republican Left of Catalonia (in Catalan: ''Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya'', ERC), a political party. According to their declaration of principles, JERC's aim is "attaining a democratic society, in which any sign of social or national oppression had disappeared within an ecologically equilibrated territory, by bringing awareness and mobilizing the youth of the ''Països Catalans''. This includes support for the independence of Catalonia and the rest of the ''Països Catalans''. One of their main activities is an independentist festival, ''Acampada Jove'', which attracts hundreds of Catalan pro-independence youngsters every year. Their current spokesman is Gerard Gómez. JERC also publishes its own magazine, called ''LA VEU del jovent'' (The Voice of the Youngsters).
